M*A*I*A

After breakfast the other morning we sat down at the table and Maia wanted to get some pens out to color. The sisters were in bed so it was a good time to do some drawing. Markers and paper came out and Maia asked if she could write her name. Great, I thought. I’ve been wanting to work on her letters with her. I agreed that her name would be a good thing to write and turned to get something else. When I turned back around Maia showed me this almost complete:

She had the "M A" done when I looked at her, she then completed the "I A" while I watched.

Her name. She had the first two letters done, then she finished the “I” and the last “A” while I watched. I only had to remind her to cross her “A’s”. I was floored.

The balloons are for her friends, in all of their favorite colors.
