Sweet Music

If there is one childhood theme that is clearly embeded in my mind, it is having a house of music. We were always singing, dancing and making musical noise…even if none of us could play an instrument.

Maia has been going to music play-class since she was four months old and I think music will be a theme in her childhood as well. This morning as she was playing with her kitchen toys she began to sing a song from our latest class. She had almost all the words right and the tune was spot on. As she sang she began to emphasize different tones and make new “voices”. She was just playing with her voice and with the music and it was wonderful. It was the sweetest music I’ve heard in a long while.
